Ortogneiss con tessitura listata a grana eterogenea con piani di scistosità ravvicinati ma discontinui. La roccia si presenta a fondo biancastro con aggregati irregolari di lamelle di biotite a grana finissima, per cui nel complesso la roccia appare di colore grigio abbastanza uniforme. Questo colore chiaro e raffinato, quasi perlato, lo porta ad essere considerato materiale di pregio.

Impieghi: pavimenti e rivestimenti per interni ed esterni, scale, fontane, colonne, piani bagno e cucina, fioriere, zoccolini, soglie, davanzali, contorni per finestre, portali, cornici, copertine, mensole, panchine, cordoli, stradali, arte funeraria pavimentazioni, lapidi e cappelle.

Striped texture orthogneiss with heterogeneous grain and close yet discontinuous schistosity plans. The rock is characterised by a whitish background with irregular aggregates of finely grained laminar biotite. On the whole the rock has a rather even grey colour. It is exactly because of this soft refined colour that it is considered a valuable material.

Uses: indoor and outdoor floorings and coatings, stairs, fountains, columns, kitchen and bathroom table-tops, flower-holders, skirting units, threshold, window-sills, window surrounds, portals, frames, sills, benches, kerbs, road paving,funerary art, graves and chapels.
